Details:

The Female Pelvic Medicine and Constructive Surgery Unit, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University, organized the Basic Lower Urinary Tract Surgery Training Program for Fellows in Female Pelvic Medicine and Constructive Surgery on Saturday, 23 May 2026. The program was designed to enhance participants’ knowledge and develop essential surgical skills in lower urinary tract and female pelvic reconstructive surgery through hands-on training using human cadavers. This practical experience provided fellows with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of surgical anatomy and refine operative techniques and procedures in a setting that closely simulates actual surgical practice. Such training serves as an important foundation for improving surgical confidence, precision, and, ultimately, patient safety and quality of care.

Beyond the transfer of surgical knowledge and technical skills, the program also contributed to the advancement of medical education and fostered interdisciplinary academic collaboration. The knowledge and experience gained through cadaveric training can be further translated into improved clinical practice and better patient care in the future. Most importantly, the program reflects the profound value and enduring contribution of our Silent Mentors, whose generous gift provides invaluable opportunities for medical education, surgical training, and the continued advancement of the medical profession.
